At Westernglamp, we use bell tents for all of our accommodations. In glamping, a bell tent refers to a specific type of tent that has a distinctive shape and design. It derives its name from its characteristic bell-like silhouette. Bell tents are spacious, sturdy, and often made from durable canvas material, which gives them a classic and nostalgic feel. Each of our bell tents are also paired with a fitted rain fly for added wind and rain protection. Our bell tents also feature a center pole that supports the tent structure and creates a high, roomy interior space.
Bell tents are popular in glamping due to their versatility and comfort. They are designed to provide ample space for furniture, beds, and other amenities, allowing guests to enjoy a luxurious camping experience. Many bell tents include features like zippered doors, windows with mesh screens for ventilation, and even stove jacks for safe indoor heating or cooking options.
The design of bell tents makes them well-suited for various weather conditions, as they can withstand wind and rain while providing a cozy and sheltered environment. Their aesthetic appeal, spaciousness, and functionality make them a preferred choice for glamping enthusiasts who seek a blend of comfort, style, and a connection to the natural surroundings.
Each of the bell tents at the fields of east canyon can accommodate up 6 adults. Each tent comes equipped with a super comfortable queen size bed and four twins. Inside each tent you will also find a solar powered battery source, a large foldable table, and box fan for those hot day. As these tents are meant to be a entry level experience into the glamping concept, don't forget to bring your own bedding! A full service experience will come over the next couple of years.

Title: Glamping Adventures with fam/friends: Essential Packing Guide
Are you ready to embark on a memorable glamping experience with your gang out to our glampsite at East Canyon? Glamping, or glamorous camping, offers the perfect blend of outdoor excitement and modern comforts. As you prepare for your upcoming glamping trip, I want to share some valuable tips on packing for a glamping adventure, where we bring our own bedding, food, kitchen essentials, and water toys. Our glampsite is located at East Canyon Reservoir after all! Let's dive in and ensure you have everything you need for an unforgettable family glamping experience! So here are some simple ideas to help you prepare:
- Bedding Bliss: To ensure a cozy and comfortable sleep for the entire family, don't forget to pack bedding essentials. Bring along pillows, blankets, and sleeping bags for each glamper. Night time temperatures in the early summer and late fall can fall into the 40's at night. Summer is usually in the upper 50's low 60's. Although our beds are super comf (Malouf memory foam) and if space permits, consider packing air mattresses or sleeping pads to elevate your comfort levels. Pro tip: Bring along favorite stuffed animals or comfort items to make your little ones feel right at home!
- Fantastic Food and Kitchen Gear: One of the joys of glamping is enjoying delicious meals amidst nature's beauty. Plan your family's meals in advance and pack non-perishable food items like snacks, canned goods, and easy-to-cook meals. Don't forget to pack fresh produce and ingredients for those special campfire recipes (can someone say s'mores?)! Although your site includes a campchef grill with grill box and fry pan, gather your kitchen essentials including pots, pans, cooking utensils, plates, bowls, cups, and cutlery. It's amazing how a well-equipped kitchen can make cooking in the great outdoors a breeze!
- Water Fun Galore: Remember, you are glamping next to the famous East Canyon Reservoir? Be sure to pack water toys to maximize the fun! Whether it's inflatable rafts, water guns, or sandcastle-building tools, water toys will keep your little adventurers entertained for hours. Don't forget to bring swimwear, towels, and sunscreen to protect against the sun's rays. Get ready for endless splashes and laughter!
- Boats: You can totally bring your boat to East Canyon Reservoir. With the Marina not but a short five minute walk away, you can launch and retrieve your boat from the East Canyon State Park Marina. Parking your boat overnight is super easy in the boat parking lot.
- Glamping Gadgets and Gear: While glamping offers a touch of luxury, it's still camping! Pack essential camping gear like additional lanterns or flashlights, extra batteries, camping chairs, and night games. Firewood is available at the glamping site through the state park's concession stand, or bring your own if permitted. Create a cozy atmosphere and enjoy some quality family time under the stars!
- H2O and Hydration: Water is available next to both shower/bath houses near the glampsite. Stay hydrated during your glamping adventure by packing ample water for drinking, cooking, and cleaning. Bring along refillable water bottles for each family member, ensuring you have access to fresh water throughout your stay. It's essential to stay hydrated, especially during outdoor activities and under the sun!
As you prepare for your glamping getaway with the kids, remember that packing smartly can make your experience even more enjoyable. By bringing your own bedding, food, kitchen essentials, and water toys, you'll have all the necessary ingredients for an amazing family adventure. Embrace the beauty of nature, create lasting memories, and cherish the quality time spent together. So, gather your gear, load up the car, and get ready for an unforgettable glamping experience that your little ones will talk about for years to come!
Happy glamping, fellow adventurous parents!
Note: Don't forget to adapt the list according to your specific needs, the glamping site's amenities, and any additional requirements for your family's comfort and safety.
WiFi in not generally available near our tents. The state park has WiFi near the concession stand and at the park HQ. Cell phone reception is generally quite good near the lake and near our tents (Units 1-3, 5-6 have best reception).
However, plan on not being available if needs be. You can always tell your boss that you are going to be out of cell phone range!
The nearest grocery store is located in down town Morgan named Ridley's. It only a short 15 - 20 minute drive.
Totally! Our favorite S'More recipe includes the following:
- Reeses Peanutbutter Cup THINS
- Campfire Marshmallows
- Honeymade Grahm Crackers.
Yes! But make sure to follow state park rules about our furry friends. There are really only two actually:
- Keep them on a leash at all times
- Pick up their poop!
We keep those two rules, and we will be able to have our awesome friends with us at camp for a super long time!
Traditionally, the busiest part of the season is BOATING season. But what is great about East Canyon State Park is that it fills up last amongst all the other state parks in the area. Come early in the week (sunday thru thursday) and enjoy an almost empty lake. Weekends are somewhat more busy. Either way, you'll have a great experience at East Canyon State.
Make a reservation thru our very own website: www.westernglamp.com! It is super easy and sites are available for your booking.
Unfortuanately, the sale of alcohol is not available at this time. Make sure to bring your own and leave your left overs for the cleaning crew! They'd appreciate the tip.
